Overview: Embark on an exhilarating 4-day gravel bike adventure through the stunning landscapes of the Atlas Mountains in Morocco. This thoughtfully designed expedition takes you from Amizmiz to Ourika, showcasing the beauty of the region and offering a rewarding cycling experience. Day 1: Amizmiz to Ouirgane

  • Distance: Approximately 40 km
  • Altitude: Start at 450 m, climb to 1,200 m
  • Start your journey in Amizmiz, which is a small town in Morocco approximately 55 kilometers south of Marrakesh. It lies at the foot of the High Atlas mountain range. Its population of approximately 11,000 consists mainly of Amazighs of Shilha origin who speak the Tashelhit language. Its weekly souk every Tuesday is well known in the area, a vibrant market town surrounded by mountains.

  • Ride through the picturesque Ourika Valley, which is a small town and rural commune in Al Haouz Province of the Marrakesh-Tensift-El Haouz region of Morocco. At the time of the 2004 census, the commune had a total population of 26,990 people living in 4,777 households and it is known for its terraced fields and traditional Berber settlements.
  • Immerse yourself in the local culture and visit the vibrant Ourika Market.
