Day 1: Amizmiz to Ouirgane
  • Distance: Approximately 40 km
  • Altitude: Start at 450 m, climb to 1,200 m
  • Start your journey in Amizmiz, which is a small town in Morocco approximately 55 kilometers south of Marrakesh. It lies at the foot of the High Atlas mountain range. Its population of approximately 11,000 consists mainly of Amazighs of Shilha origin who speak the Tashelhit language. Its weekly souk every Tuesday is well known in the area, a vibrant market town surrounded by mountains.
  • Cycle along scenic gravel roads, passing through traditional Berber villages.

  • Arrive in Ouirgane, which is a small town and rural commune in Al Haouz Province of the Marrakesh-Tensift-El Haouz region of Morocco. At the time of the 2004 census, the commune had a total population of 6916 people living in 1281 households. It is a Berber village.

  • Distance: Approximately 50 km
  • Altitude: Start at 1,740 m, descend to 800 m
  • Depart from Imlil and descend through scenic mountain trails, and explore the heart of the atlas mountains, and its staunning views
  • Ride through the picturesque Ourika Valley, which is a small town and rural commune in Al Haouz Province of the Marrakesh-Tensift-El Haouz region of Morocco. At the time of the 2004 census, the commune had a total population of 26,990 people living in 4,777 households and it is known for its terraced fields and traditional Berber settlements.
  • Immerse yourself in the local culture and visit the vibrant Ourika Market.

  • Pedal through the town of Ait ourir town which is a town and municipality in Al Haouz Province, Marrakesh-Safi, Morocco. At the time of the 2004 census, the commune had a total population of 20,005 people living in 3767 households, its also known for its historic sites and natural beauty.
